Description from the Fort Standard:

The Teak and Marble parts, which compose the tables, rely on each other’s inherent material qualities in order to function as a unit. The CNC Water-jet stone provides a solid foundation-giving rise to the table’s wood surface and support structure that is crafted using traditional wood working techniques and joinery. The tables are designed with the intention to speak to the fact that the lighter wood framework is rendered helpless without its weighty stone counterparts and vice versa.

Description from John Lee:

The dining table is made in Solid Ash. The table is a private commission that was inspired by the coastal location of my client’s house. The inspiration for the “holes” came from eroded sedimentary rock and the effects of erosion. The table’s underside and the outer face of the base have been textured and sandblasted.
