Limited Edition Melting Chair Mirroring Its Surroundings

Limited Edition Melting Chair Mirroring Its Surroundings

Ordinary chair is so old-school, and yes this idea of making chair with such a unique design is really brilliant. Some designers purposely design chairs in odd shapes in order to attract people’s attention. One of the examples is The Melting Chair – a stunning and beautiful chair that mirrors everything in its presence and adds character and a unique deformed vision of its surrounding space. Created as a melting version of a sculptural chair, this chair was designed after careful consideration of how real objects melt. Its mirroring surface will fascinate you and challenge you to find a perfect place for it in your home. Finished with a special silver coating and scratch resistant polyurethane lacquer, the Melting Chair is a limited edition piece.

These words from the designer Philipp Aduatz – will add deeper understanding of the concept and manufacturing of this exceptional chair design: “Philipp Aduatz’ intention in the design of the Melting Chair is to capture a transienttransformation within a sculptural object. The Melting Chair, which is suitable for use, is carefully crafted to appear to the viewer either as a solid chair melting away or as a solidification of a liquid melt. To create a realistic illusion, Aduatz studied the solidification of fluids as well as the melting of solids with modern 3D animation software.

Joseph Walsh’s Exceptional Enignum Chairs Collection

Joseph Walsh’s Exceptional Enignum Chairs Collection-4

Joseph Walsh‘s Enignum Chairs recently shows its great Collection of how the evolution of design can effect a gorgeous collection of modern chairs. The chairs are made by a combination of Olive ash, copper and silk woven textile, finished in white oil, gave life to the third chair in the series, creating an unequaled, contemporary design. For the Enignum I and II Chairs, Joseph Walsh used Olive ash and suede, differentiating the two designs in concept and details. The designer’s words can best describe the inspiration for the series and the name, and construction technique used to manipulate the material: “In the Enignum series of work, I have stripped wood into thin layers, manipulating and reconstructing them into free form compositions. I then shape through these layers to reveal not only the honesty of the structure but the sculpted form which is a unique collaboration of man and material. The title derives from the Latin words Enigma (‘mystery’) and Lignum (‘wood’), for me they sum up the series: the mystery of the composition lies in the material.”

Dancing Chair by Constance Guisset

Dancing Chair by Constance Guisset

Love to dance? You will not miss this incredible chair. It is dancing chair, designed by Constance Guisset. Well, actually the chair id not dancing and it is also not a dance stuff, it is just a name indicating that the chair is really comfortable, indeed in any positions you want. This chair has a good look and elegant, absolutely. With an appearance that is eye-catching and original, the Dancing Chair is bold, to say the least. The base of the chair is constructed of bent, undulating pieces of wood. This gives it an almost ethereal look, very pleasant to observe. Constance went for a shell-like upholstered seating unit, that ensures a high degree of comfort. The product was also interpreted as a modern approach of the traditional rocking chair. Both the chair and footrest come with a removable textured fabric cover, for easy maintenance. The project is one of the 13 chosen ideas to be presented during the MAISON MEUBLE exhibition at the VIA stand. How do you appreciate the overall appearance of this unusual chair?
