This custom piece represents a combination of new construction with found materials. The casework portion consists of bent laminated corners, oak hardwood, sliding glass doors and custom fabricated metal drawer pulls. Traditional wood joinery, such as blind splines and doweled connections, are used in order to maintain the craftsman integrity of this piece. The base portion is constructed completely of materials found on a farm. Rusted plow heads are mounted to weathered heavy timber beams in a sculptural and highly contrasting response to the case above“. The dimensions of the piece are 34?h x 74?w x 20?d. By separating books into sections like “has been read” and “will be read”, and making it easy to find each section with a two-level design, Mebrure Oral created the Target Books Shelf as an interesting aid for those loving how typography can prove useful around the house.  Typographic elements act as the bookends, making simplicity the key elements of this beautiful, trendy bookshelf. Made of recyclable ABS plastic using injection molding, the three pieces of the book shelf are assembled into a decorative linear design. With a witty design, Peekaboo consists of a set of storing units that have a highly original shape: “I wanted to change the chest of drawers concept by breaking the traditional shape. The drawers are laminated with bamboo and the walls are painted white so that the trays are clearly presented. I wanted this furniture to stand out and have chosen a slightly different way to open the drawers“- the designer explained.
