It was reported that in October 13th-17th, Brodie Neill manage to exhibit the Glacier chaise longue at SuperDesign in London.
Glacier’s graceful form is hand-cast from 135 litres of molten clear glass. The monolithic form is fused with a total weight of 300kg. A limited edition of ten are to be made.
Looks like a plate, right? Yup this design is seemingly like a plate but it is not. It is a table, a coffee table, which is created by Spanish designer, Paco Camús. Do not imagine it in plate size but table size, then you will get the idea, hopefully 
Here is the short description:
Rotating table made of 100% alabaster.
The lid and the base have some circular rails containing several small balls which allow the lid to rotate and turn the table into a “giant bearing”.
The top part is a 4cm. thick board which has been emptied and lowered to the desired shape, reaching a final weight of 46 kg.
To make the base we have turned a massive block of alabaster which has been emptied to reach the final weight of 49 kg.
The rotation of the top part is eccentric allowing us to zoom the table as it suit us.
They call it “Seat Slug”. Created by the famous designer, Rael San Fratello Architects, this design is known as the world’s first concrete polymer 3D printed bench.
The Seat Slug bench was designed using modo 3D modelling software, then the nearly 250 unique parts were 3D printed using a cement-based polymer. The design is inspired by flabellina goddardi, the newest species of sea slugs discovered in California in 2010, and by the infinite tessellations of Japanese karakusa patterns. The Seat Slug will be on display for two years at San Francisco’s Fort Mason National Park.
One living room furniture set has recently been created be Dexel Crafted. It consists of sofa, cabinet, shelf, coffee table and side table.

These pieces are part of my new traffik collection. An exploration of the use of furnishings to control traffic within our interiors. These pieces were inspired by the geometry and shapes of medians, islands, bump-outs and roundabouts found within our streets.
